On the 15 July 2016 the Copsewood Miniature Railway hosted a Family Fun Day in aid of Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. The event was held in accordance with the wishes of Mike Rowland’s wife, Sue, who also sadly passed away during the Christmas period in 2015.
Mike and his wife had been supporting Zoë’s Place, and it was Mike who first came to the hospice to bring in a donation of £700 and was incredibly moved by his visit. Mike, a keen member of the Copsewood Miniature Railway Club went on to help organise a Family Fun Day and sponsored miniature traction engine run with other members of the club in which raised over £1,300.
